Cayla is an accomplished producer with extensive experience in coordination, account management, social media management and photography. As a photographer for 8 years prior to her role with Ozone Films, she brings a deep knowledge of what it takes to craft a good image, make those on camera feel comfortable enough to perform well and structure a project to accomplish creative and client objectives. Her approach to each and every project brings a positive and exciting energy to the entire team. Cayla is extremely detail-oriented and heavily relationship-focused, making sure that everyone not only knows what to do but why we're doing it and gets the whole crew rallied around the vision to make the best output possible.
Traveling and exploring new places has always been a passion of mine. It’s an opportunity to experience an alternative reality in a way. The novelty of new experiences travel allows and the sense of curiosity to meet, understand, and learn from new people continually inspires me. At the core of what I do in this role is connecting with people to help provide the best experience.
Inspiration can arise from anywhere- reading a great book, seeing a moment of perfect golden hour lighting- but often times it requires intention. I find I’m most inspired when I’m meeting new people and learning about their lives and passions.
I wish someone would have shared that it’s okay to constantly evolve and that most people don’t actually “have it all figured out”. What matters is finding and focusing on the core motivation to your work and evolving from there. Reflecting on how my career has evolved has shown me that helping others, making meaningful connections, and really caring has brought the most satisfaction.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my time outside when possible. Nature is restorative in so many ways and creating habits and hobbies outside has been a huge focus of mine. Whether it’s spending time near water, practicing yoga on the deck, walking our dog Riley, or just reading outside, I find I’m the most relaxed outdoors. When that’s not possible, I also enjoy cooking, hosting, and thrifting!
Everything Everywhere all at Once: It’s a perfect blend of entertainment, suspense, and humor that evokes curiosity on what it means to exist. It creatively challenges the viewer’s idea of filmmaking within a “genre”, paralleling the theme of the movie. It balances humor and sincerity, all while maintaining a modest production budget. It proves how creativity in filmmaking can produce real art that lasts long after the initial viewing.
