Joints Spearfishing was born out of this exact mentality and wanted to frame their marketing approach in a way that shows rather than telling.
What better way than to create a series with Joints and their ambassadors spearfishing in some of the toughest and most unique conditions in the world, testing the gear to the max and having fun along the way.
THE FIRST EPISODE
Filmed over the course of 3 days off the coast of California in the dense kelp forests of the Channel Islands, we were tasked to film up to 6 hours a day in waters below 60F with the threat of Great White Sharks around every corner and sea lions eager to come ruin the shot.
Utilizing a nimble DSLR setup below water, a rock solid handheld RED Komodo rig, the incredibly versatile lens options of the Inspire 2, and a tough crew familiar with content creation, we tackled the unforgiving wind conditions, water temperatures and elusive fish for three days straight.
THE FULL PICTURE
In order to maximize the value of the series, along with a full length episode each episode is accompanied by 5-15 individual cutdowns designed for YouTube Shorts/Instagram Reels, 50+ still images (comprised of lifestyle and product images), and multi-language transcipt translation for each an every assets as the global reach of the Joints brand extends to nearly every country in the world (with a focus on French, English and Spanish).
